Arrangement for the Implementation of Right to Information

For the effective implementation of the Right to Information conferred under the Right to Information Act, 2005, the following arrangement has been put in place:

• 1. District Village Industries Officer - District Level Assistant Public Information Officer
• 2. Zonal Village Industries Officer (First Appellate Authority)
• 3. Headquarters Level Public Information Officer
• 4. Headquarters Level Appellate Authority (Chief Executive Officer)

An appeal against the order of the District Level Assistant Public Information Officer may be submitted in the prescribed manner before the Zonal Officer (First Appellate Authority), who shall dispose of it within the stipulated time frame.

An appeal against the order of the Zonal Officer may be submitted before the Headquarters Level (Second Appellate Authority), who shall be the Joint Chief Executive Officer (Personnel). They shall dispose of it within the prescribed time frame.

An appeal against the Headquarters Level Public Information Officer may be submitted before the First Appellate Authority at the Headquarters Level (Chief Executive Officer), who shall dispose of it within the stipulated time frame.

An appeal against the order of the Second Appellate Authority may be made to the State Government. Currently, the Special Secretary, Department of Khadi and Village Industries, Government of U.P., has been designated as the Final Appellate Authority.
