Skill improvement training program implemented by U.P. Khadi and Village industry Board was
started under plan head. Training is provided to selected beneficiary under the scheme for
improvement of skill inherent in him.15 days training is provided under skill improvement
training program for skill up gradation and promotion. Detailed information about production
process to sales is provided to the beneficiary under the scheme so that he can easily set up
his self employment. The training is provided with the objective that the entrepreneur can
develop his skill through it and set up his business either by investing his own capital or
through financial assistance of government agency so that his economic development can be
possible. And he can be self-dependable by production of good and quality product and its sale
in local and other area through modern technology and skill development.

Under skill improvement program, training program is conducted for beneficiary selected by
district level task force in following trades as per their demand by skilled trainer selected by
District Village Industry Officer at selected place :
The program is implemented by the Board through 10 divisional village industry training
center
in the entire district in the state as detailed below :
In the below mentioned financial year 2016-17, the government beneficiaries Financial sanction
has been issued relative to the provision of budget for training.

Skill Improvement training program(General)(Grant No.05 Non plan)
Government has issued financial sanction of Rs.100.00 lakh for skill improvement
training of beneficiary of general category. Principal of the concerned training center
has completed training of 1750 beneficiary up to month February against the target of
2500 fixed against the fund sanctioned and remaining target will be completed by the end
of this month.20% of the budget amount is to be quantified for training of minorities
class and accordingly, compliance is being ensured.

Skill Improvement training program(SCP)(Grant No.83 plan)
Government has issued financial sanction of Rs.300.00 lakh for skill improvement
training of beneficiary belonging to scheduled caste category under the scheme.
Principal of the concerned training center has completed training of 6175 beneficiary up
to month February, 17 against the target of 7500 and remaining target will be completed
by the end of this month.

Skill Improvement training program(TSP)(Grant No.81 plan)
Government has issued financial sanction of Rs.4.08 lakh for skill improvement training
of beneficiary belonging to this category under the scheme for the district-Lakhimpur,
Pilibhit, Shrawasti and Chandauli of schedule tribe dominant district. Principal of the
concerned training center has completed training of 51 beneficiaries up to month
February, 17 against the target of 102 and remaining target will be completed by the end
of this month.

Practical training program(Grant No.05 Non plan)
This scheme is sanction and is being implemented with the objective of providing
practical training through village industry to unemployed youths of the rural area in
different village industries before financing. This scheme is being implemented for
rural entrepreneur of all district of the state through training center of the Board.
Government has issued financial sanction of Rs.50.00 lakh in current financial year for
training of eligible entrepreneur/beneficiary. Principal of the concerned training
center has completed training of 1575 beneficiaries up to month February, 17 against the
target of 2500 and remaining target will be completed by the end of this month.

Note:- Under this scheme, training is not provided for Khadi cotton
spinning,
weaving etc.

Other training with fee/training in specific industry In addition to
departmental training, the training center provide training in specific industry with
fee which includes computer training, sewing, embroidery, hosiery, jewelry market,
chalk-wicks, Bari-papad, candle, incense stick, pickles-murabba, fruit processing etc.

P.M.E.G.P.training Training is provided under PMEGP implemented by Government of
India. Under the scheme, training is provided to that beneficiary/entrepreneur whose
loan application form has been sanctioned by the bank. In addition to Khadi Board,
training is provided to those applicants also whose loan application was got sanctioned
by Khadi and Village Industry Commission and District Village industry Officer.

Scheme for strengthening of infrastructure facility of Divisional Village
Industry Training Center(Grant no.05 plan head)
Training centers, running, are 30 years old. Government has issued financial of
Rs.50.00lac Rs.5.00 lakh per training center during the current financial year 2016-17
for maintenance, painting of training center, purchase of equipment and other material
which are used in training. The amount has been spent by principal of concerned training
center in necessary head.

Scheme for setting up khadi common facility center in district Kushinagar
(Establishment Head Grant no.05 plan head)
After budget provision of Rs.50.00 lakh in this scheme during current financial year,
financial sanctioned has been issued by the government.DPR has been prepared through
Northern India Textiles Research Association (NITRA) Ghaziabad and submitted to
government for necessary action.
Land has been allotted in favor of Board free of cost. Construction work is being
carried out by UP Project Corporation Ltd.
